What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related major.
  • At least 5 years of related work experience in penetration testing, including internet, intranet, web applications, and Red Teaming.
  • Excellent command of both the Dutch and English languages.
  • Experience leading a technical team for performing penetration testing, both remotely and on-site, within defined rules of engagement.
  • Strong client focus and accustomed to playing a proactive role in client projects.
  • Flexible, responsible, and confident personality, who feels comfortable in the client's environment.
  • Experience with scripting and programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell, C#) and knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Possession of certifications such as OSCP, GPEN, CRTO, CRTP.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest exploits and security trends.

As part of our Cyber team, you will get the opportunity to help clients gain insight into their cybersecurity program and strategy as a whole. You will be part of an internationally connected team of specialists who help our clients with their most complex cybersecurity needs and contribute to their business resilience.

Our cyber security professionals possess broad industry knowledge, along with unique technical expertise and specialized skills. As part of our Cyber Threat Management team, you will identify potential threats and vulnerabilities for operational environments. Projects may consist of penetration testing, red teaming, and simulating physical breaches to identify vulnerabilities.

The Cyber Security team advises organizations on all cybersecurity challenges in this rapidly changing digital world. This can be through, for example, ethical hacking or conducting large-scale crisis simulations.

What you'll do

  • Managing penetration testing projects, including internet, intranet, wireless, web application, social engineering, and physical penetration testing.
  • Lead and execute red team scenarios to highlight gaps that impact the security postures of organizations.
  • The ability to both work independently and lead a team of technical testers in the field of penetration testing and red team engagements.
  • Providing technical leadership and advising consultants and senior consultants on attack and penetration testing engagements.
  • Managing code analysis (security code review) and managing the identification and exploitation of security vulnerabilities across a wide range of systems in various situations.
  • Assessing and performing in-depth analyses of penetration test results and overseeing reporting that describes findings, exploitation procedures, risks, and recommendations.
  • Communicating complex technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.

Pre-employment screening
Part of the application procedure is an (online) assessment and a pre-employment screening. Due to laws and regulations and because EY (and in some cases its clients) sets high standards for the reliability and integrity of its employees, every new employee is screened. Depending on the job level, the pre-employment screening may consist of the following components: Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) or—if a VOG cannot be requested in the Netherlands—a Criminal Background Check from the country where you currently live or have lived in the last five years, integrity questionnaire, verification of ID, diplomas and/or work experience, and consultation of the central insolvency register.
