Assistant shop employee at Droppie

This job is specifically intended for people who currently find it difficult to find work. For example, because you have a disability, have not worked for a long time, or are still learning the Dutch language. At Droppie, we give everyone a chance to participate.

Droppie is a unique recycling shop where you can drop off all your used items in a single visit. A place where what you hand in gains value again, for you, for your neighborhood, and for the future. You can come to us with all kinds of recyclable items, from old clothing and broken electronics to plastic packaging, cooking oil, plastic deposit bottles, and cans. At our drop-points, you can easily drop off everything at once. Every drop counts. As soon as you hand something in, you can immediately see in the Droppie app what you have done and what you get in return. You can keep that reward yourself, share it with a charity, or save it together with your neighborhood for something beautiful. We no longer have waste left over, only valuable materials and raw materials to reuse. This is how Droppie makes recycling easy, fun, and rewarding. A small drop with a big difference.

Together with you, we will look at which tasks suit you. For example:

• You help people with dropping off waste and ensure they leave again with a smile.

• You help people who come to pick up or drop off packages.

• You ensure that everything is done neatly and according to the rules.

• You are fit enough to stand a lot and lift packages.

• You remain calm when it is busy.

• You work accurately and can read numbers well.

• You speak Dutch or English well. It is nice if you speak both.

• You feel at home in an inclusive organization where everyone is welcome and you work together with patience and understanding with colleagues who sometimes need a bit of extra support.

• A fun job in which you are guided and allowed to learn step-by-step. You do not need to be able to do everything immediately.

• Hourly wage of 15.16. Number of hours is being developed and is subject to consultation.
