Senior Security Officer

What you bring

• A Security Diploma level II and MBO working and thinking level, supplemented with relevant work experience

• A valid First Aid and BHV (Emergency Response) diploma

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify security issues at an early stage

• Experience with coordinating colleagues and coordinating with external agencies

• Integrity, stress resistance, and a professional attitude in every situation

Surveillance and security

• Supervising the safety of the store, the building, employees, and customers

• Identifying and preventing shoplifting, fraud, and other security risks

• Acting upon alarm notifications and emergencies according to established guidelines

• Approaching and questioning suspicious persons and performing checks if necessary

Customer contact and hospitality

• Being visibly present on the shop floor as a host/hostess

• Greeting customers upon arrival and departure

• Being a point of contact for customers and answering practical questions

• Exuding authority with a customer-friendly and professional attitude

Safety and procedures

• Supervising the correct implementation of the security policy

• Monitoring and escorting cash and valuables transports according to procedures

• Supervising compliance with (fire) safety regulations and health and safety (ARBO) guidelines

• Maintaining contact with emergency services and external agencies

Coordination and senior responsibilities

• Independently performing operational and more complex security tasks

• Coordinating fellow security officers during incidents and emergencies

• Guiding and coaching less experienced security officers

• Conducting internal and external fraud investigations

Reporting and Emergency Response (BHV)

• Participating in the BHV team and evacuation drills

• Recording and maintaining incident, safety, and control reports
