A completed MBO-4 or HBO education in mechanical engineering or a similar technical field.
At least three years of relevant experience in project management, project leadership, or a similar coordinating role, preferably within a technical-maritime or industrial environment.
Sufficient technical basic knowledge to understand drawings, production processes, and technical issues. Knowledge of metalworking, hydraulic, electrical, or electronic installations is a plus.
Knowledge of contract management and experience in monitoring commercial and financial project agreements.
A structured way of working, decisiveness, and the ability to oversee multiple projects and interests simultaneously.
A customer-oriented and commercial attitude. You communicate clearly, enjoy collaborating, and dare to hold parties accountable for agreements.
A good command of Dutch and English. German is a plus.

Are you strong at organizing technical projects, do you maintain an overview when multiple disciplines converge, and do you communicate easily with customers and colleagues? Then at Damen Marine Components, you will get the space to lead projects from quotation handover to delivery.
As Project Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the execution of multiple technical projects simultaneously. You take over a project after the quotation phase and guide it through to delivery, commissioning, and sea trials, in close cooperation with the Service team.
You bring internal and external parties together, monitor progress, and ensure that agreements regarding planning, budget, quality, and scope are met. You identify risks early, adjust when necessary, and keep the customer clearly informed. In this way, you ensure a manageable project course and a result that is both technically and financially correct.
You lead projects from handover through to successful delivery and monitor planning, budget, quality, and scope in the process.
You coordinate the collaboration between engineering, production, warehouse, purchasing, service, suppliers, and the customer.
You monitor the progress of drawing work, revisions, and project documentation and ensure that drawings are submitted for classification in a timely manner.
You align production and delivery schedules and intervene when progress or deliverability is under pressure.
You recognize risks, deviations, and additional work in time and translate these into concrete actions and clear communication.
You handle pre- and post-calculations, administrative processing, and invoicing in the ERP system.
You maintain regular contact with the customer regarding progress, delivery agreements, changes, and delivery.
You ensure a careful project closure and guarantee that technical and financial agreements are correctly handled.
