You operate at WO-level.
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in an operational and/or logistical environment with multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrable experience with operational leadership and managing a complex field of stakeholders.
Affinity with waste management / circular economy is a clear plus.

The role

As White Goods Recycling Center Manager, you are end-to-end responsible for the strategic development and the daily operation of our new white goods recycling center in Tilburg. You ensure that we extract maximum value from recycling, refurbishing, and repair activities, with high efficiency, strong business results, and happy customers. In doing so, you work closely with teams such as CoolblueDelivers, Planning, Procurement, External Affairs, HSE, and Legal, as well as with external partners such as suppliers and government agencies.

What you'll do

To develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for the recycling center, including expanding lines, processes, and product categories with new technologies.
To stay up to date with the latest developments in your field, such as laws and regulations and market innovations, and to proactively steer towards internal and external stakeholders.
To act as an ambassador for circularity and sustainability, both internally and towards governments and white goods manufacturers.
To take responsibility for the P&L of the recycling center, with a focus on cost efficiency, output value, and operational KPIs such as uptime, capacity, NPS, and first time right.
To provide operational leadership over all recycling, refurbishing, and logistical activities and to manage multiple (operational) teams.
To establish and safeguard quality and process standards for recycling, refurbishing, and decentralized repair activities, including compliance with relevant standards and certifications (e.g., Cenelec/WEEELABEX).
To continuously start and guide improvement initiatives, together with internal teams such as HSE, Legal, and Procurement and external parties such as government, suppliers, customers, and machine builders, so that everyone is steering towards the same goals.
To coach and develop your team members, so that they achieve their goals and continue to develop professionally.
