Lead AI Machine Learning Engineer

• You have a higher professional (HBO) or academic (WO) level of working and thinking
• You have 4+ years of experience as a (Lead) AI ML Engineer or in a comparable role
• You have strong knowledge of MLOps, deployment, and monitoring of ML models in production
• You have experience with Python and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and/or scikit-learn
• You work with modern cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure, AWS, or GCP) and CI/CD practices
• You can clearly explain technical choices and risks to non-technical stakeholders
• You are communicatively skilled, coaching, and take ownership
• You have excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written (C1 level)

• A permanent contract of 32, 36, or 40 hours with a compensation budget up to €8,200, gross per month incl. holiday allowance and mobility allowance;

As a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Sogeti, you provide direction for the design, construction, and scaling of AI and ML solutions that deliver demonstrable value in production. You operate at the intersection of data science, software engineering, and cloud architecture, ensuring that models are deployed reliably, manageably, and explainably. Together with customers, you determine the right balance between speed and quality and safeguard standards that are scalable.

• Design and realize scalable ML architectures and MLOps solutions
• Translate use cases into robust solutions that are secure, explainable, and compliant
• Integrate models into applications and processes and safeguard deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Coach engineers and data scientists; ensure alignment between business, data science, and engineering
• Actively contribute to presales, propositions, and customer presentations
