The assignment
You will be working in the installation team of Information Communication Systems User Services Venlo (ICS US Venlo). For you, this means the following tasks:

• Hardware Installation and Maintenance: You will be involved in installing and maintaining computer hardware and peripherals for new employees or existing staff. This includes installing operating systems, software applications, drivers, and ensuring that all devices are in optimal condition.
• Software Support and Updates: As part of the Installation team, you will help users with questions regarding software and updates. You may need to guide them in using specific applications or resolve issues regarding software functionality.
• Documentation and Knowledge Items: Effective documentation is crucial for a support department. It is therefore important to record your solutions or processes in documentation on SharePoint or in a TOPdesk Knowledge Item.
• Management of Hardware and Software Inventory: You will be involved in managing the hardware and software inventory, tracking equipment, and updating data if necessary. This activity gives you insight into asset management within an organization.
• Collaboration with the ICS Team: The installation team works closely with other ICS teams. During your internship, you may have the opportunity to collaborate with other departments, such as network administrators, system administrators, or security specialists, exposing you to different IT disciplines.

Your profile
Naturally, ICT is your passion and you are no stranger to computer hardware and peripherals. In fact, you work on them daily. Furthermore, you do not shy away from a challenge and you have sufficient problem-solving skills and customer focus to bring them to a successful conclusion. Additionally:

• You are following an ICT study at MBO level 3 or MBO level 4.
• Communicating with employees from all levels of a company is easy for you.
• You are eager to learn and a team player.
• Possession of a driver's license is a plus.
