Planning Preparer

• At least HBO (higher professional education) level of working and thinking towards Civil Engineering or similar;

• Several years of experience in a similar position at a construction company within new construction, and you have extensive knowledge of contracts, laws, and regulations;

• A proactive attitude that aims for collaboration in our fun and sociable team;

As a Planning Preparer at Ballast Nedam West in Capelle aan den IJssel, you are responsible for the technical construction substantiation of the plan during the tender and design phases. You work together with the Plan Developer, and together you ensure that a feasible and executable plan is established. You have an essential role within the construction team and you ensure a Technical Design that meets all conditions, such as: budget, feasibility, and quality. You do this, of course, so that the project can be delivered within the planned time.

With your technical knowledge and proactivity as a Planning Preparer, you ensure a smoothly running design and tender phase. You assess the design in terms of architectural and structural aspects and you supervise external parties, while paying attention to the contractual requirements and conditions set by the client. Additionally, you prepare a clear phase dossier (VO, DO, TO), contribute to a correct risk analysis, and to the schedules to be developed by the central office. You report your activities to the Head of Plan Development.
