The role
Job description
What you will do as a Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, together with your colleagues, you are responsible for all maintenance within Timberland's modern automated warehouse in Almelo. You focus on minimizing downtime. You do this through maintenance and preventive checks (daily 70% investigating and/or addressing immediately = preventing us from going down) performed visually (seeing, hearing, smelling) on the building, the internal transport means (forklifts), various (sorting) systems (Adapto/returns/shuttles), installations (checks such as thermal camera/checking filters due to dust) and devices (telescopic belts/batteries). When this works well, we can fulfill our promise to the customer and you are the hero for all departments.
Furthermore, you have an eye for improvement and ensure that safety is always the priority. Additionally, you strive to keep maintenance costs as low as possible. Finally, we expect the following from a Maintenance Technician;
· Using and understanding electrical test and diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting and repair;
· Ensuring that all relevant parts are available and also in stock;
· Being available for breakdown services also outside of working hours;
· Willing to work in shifts;
What we are looking for (personal qualities):
o Eager to learn (curious to discover and investigate),
o Proactive/taking initiative (if the breakdown occurs more often, what can we do and why does that breakdown arise),
o Knows when he must ask (how far can you go),
o Team player (open communication, offering a helping hand),
o Perseverant
o Ability to convert theoretical knowledge into practice (but not through a trick - understanding connections)
o No fear of heights
Furthermore, we ask?
· At least MBO level 3 working and thinking level, in the direction of technology;
· Knowledge of mechanical (a string that needs to be replaced, wheel rims), electrical (mounting lifts Adapto, light, heating etc. involves mechanical+electrical = 90%, whereby mechanical will be more working time, but electrical has more (safety) consequences) and pneumatic (=air control approx. 10%) drives;
· VCA certified, familiar with NEN 3140 (not a requirement, done internally);
· Knowledge of PLC controls (example: in a car there is a computer (computer states that you have gasoline etc.) When you put the key in the lock, it triggers the computer and ensures that the gasoline flows (output). Occurs weekly. Programming is not done internally.);
· Good command of the Dutch language and the English language.
What we offer?
