What we're looking for

Completed HBO or WO degree with at least 5 years of commercial FMCG experience, including account management towards national retail organizations

Experience with independently managing strategic retail accounts and bearing responsibility for turnover, profitability, and investments

Experience with leading cross-functional teams and successfully managing internal and external stakeholders

Strong analytical skills and experience in translating market, shopper, and customer data into commercial opportunities and account strategies

Experience with complex negotiations, trade investment management, assessing business cases, and financially substantiated decision-making

Strong strategic and commercial thinking ability, with experience in developing and realizing medium- and long-term customer strategies

Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Dutch and English

The role

Red Bull is one of the fastest-growing FMCG companies in the Netherlands. Our ambition is to further accelerate this growth in the coming years. Therefore, we are looking for an ambitious, authentic, and commercially driven account lead who can further give wings to Red Bull's growth within your customers.

As a National Account Manager, you hold ultimate responsibility for the commercial development of Jumbo, Lidl, and Aldi. You develop and realize medium- and long-term strategies, lead complex negotiations, and build sustainable partnerships that contribute to profitable growth for both Red Bull and the customer. Additionally, you manage an account manager and provide direction to a multidisciplinary account team.

What you'll do

Red Bull is an ambitious company and offers its employees a high degree of freedom, entrepreneurship, and decision-making authority. You bear responsibility for turnover, market share, profitability, and investments within your accounts. You feel like an owner of the business, you think ahead, and you take proactive decisions within the space you are given.

You lead the negotiation process and therefore possess strong negotiation skills. You carefully weigh commercial opportunities, investments, and financial implications and translate these into clear proposals and agreements.

You are a strong relationship manager with great empathy. You build a strong long-term partnership with contact persons across various disciplines. You understand the strategy and ambitions of the customer and translate these into joint growth plans.

You have numerical insight and use data (including IRI, GfK, and customer-specific data) to identify opportunities and substantiate plans. You translate insights not only into plans but also into concrete commercial actions that deliver demonstrable results. You share and/or present periodic internal and external evaluations of the account plan and associated KPIs.

You provide daily direction to an account manager and are the commercial leader of the account team (including Category Management, Shopper Marketing, Finance, e-Commerce). In doing so, you ensure clear priorities, ownership, and alignment between all involved functions. You know how to provide clear direction to priorities and responsibilities, and with your strong social and communication skills, you stimulate optimal cross-functional collaboration.

Red Bull is constantly looking to optimize the joint business with the retailer. You develop and implement customer strategies for the medium term (1-3 years), such as category development plans, shelf optimizations, introductions of innovations, and omnichannel initiatives.

There is close cooperation with the headquarters team in Austria and our international colleagues. You find it inspiring and interesting to gain experience with international cooperation and to share knowledge and ideas.
