What we're looking for

A completed higher professional education (hbo) degree, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a similar field.
At least 3 years of experience as a Stock Planner within retail.
Experience in leadership is nice, but more important is your talent for coaching others, transferring knowledge, and helping colleagues grow in their profession.
Extensive knowledge of inventory management, allocation, and how these relate to lead times and logistics capacity.
Knowledge of planning systems and data analysis at an operational level.
Experience in coordinating with suppliers and distribution centers about capacity and delivery times.
You constantly look for ways to organize work more smartly and efficiently, and you bring others along in doing so.

The role

As Team Lead Stock Planning within Supply Chain Planning, you are responsible for the operational stock management and allocation of your unit. You translate the frameworks of the Merchandise Financial Planners into clear working methods and priorities for your team, so that stock decisions are made consistently, efficiently and within the financial and logistical frameworks. You manage 5 to 10 Stock Planners on a daily basis, coach them on content and develop them, both individually and as a team.

You stay close to the craft yourself: you carry out stock planning and allocation for your own category. This way, you know exactly where the bottlenecks are in the chain. You align with suppliers and the DC on lead times, capacity and planning, monitor stock and logistics performance, and escalate risks to availability in a timely manner. You also actively participate in the weekly S&OE meeting.

The challenge? Not just solving disruptions, but preventing them. You analyze recurring bottlenecks, initiate improvement projects and embed the outcomes in the daily way of working. As a driver of change, you take your team toward a more standardized and data-driven way of working. You report to the Manager Supply Chain Planning Non Food.

You recognize patterns in stock and availability data, see the structural causes behind disruptions and translate them into concrete actions. You create clarity in priorities, drive quality and discipline, and coach with authority, because you master the craft yourself. You take ownership, are a critical sparring partner for the Manager Merchandise Planning, and dare to push back when necessary.
