The role
We are looking for a Material Planner to join the HARMAN team, who will play a key role in ensuring the raw materials required for series production, managing emerging material shortages, and assessing the logistical impacts of changes in customer/production requirements.
In this position, you will work closely with production planning, the central procurement management team, and the production, warehouse, transport organization, and quality assurance departments to ensure the material supply for production is secured, while minimizing the risk of creating obsolete and excess inventory.
What you'll do
Material availability analysis, identification and escalation of critical shortages
Daily monitoring of shortages and regular communication with suppliers in the short and medium term.
In the event of material shortages or obsolescence risks, performing decision-support analyses, determining and following up on possible actions.
Active cooperation with related departments
Participation in internal and customer critical material meetings.
Representing the operational organization at meetings, while advocating for HARMAN's interests.
Logistical coordination of hardware and software transitions.
Providing decision support for the optimal timing of hardware transitions, taking material shortages and obsolescence risks into account.
In the event of obsolete inventory creation, performing analyses, determining actions, and coordinating them with related departments.
Elvárások / What You Need to Be Successful
Higher education degree in logistics, economics, supply chain, or technical fields, or relevant professional experience in a similar role.
Experience gained in a manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environment.
Good analytical skills and a systemic approach.
Confident Excel skills, with experience in creating reports and analyses.
Ability to interpret complex data and compile decision-support information.
Proactive, solution-oriented approach.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently, while maintaining a strong team spirit.
Negotiation-level English and Hungarian language skills, both spoken and written.

The above represents the annual gross base salary range for this role.
