  • Keeping the sample receiving area orderly and tidy;
  • Replenishing and maintaining stocks, including both sample supplies and other materials;
  • Locating samples and processing them to the correct destination, in collaboration with shift leaders, chief analysts, and account managers;
  • Registering incoming samples, if necessary;
  • Responsible for the calibration of measuring equipment, such as MMC and UTI;
  • Responsible for processing used sample material, such as MKs and Tank Eye equipment, using the equipment washer;
  • Ensuring the ordering of materials for repairs to MKs;
  • Arranging transport to and from third parties for the purpose of picking up and delivering parts;
  • Performing (minor) repair work on measuring and sampling equipment;
  • Maintaining administration regarding calibrations and maintenance;
  • Ensuring that jerrycans for the waste stream are correctly handled and labeled;
  • Complying with applicable procedures regarding safety regulations;
  • Managing the external waste stream on Fridays;
  • If necessary, and in consultation with the shift leader or operations manager/coordinator, transporting samples to internal and external locations;
  • Continuously informing oneself and staying up to date on technical and safety developments within the field.
