Junior Buyer

• A completed commercial HBO (higher professional education) or WO (university) degree.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in category management, purchasing, or supplier management.
• A professional conversation partner in Dutch. For relationships at every level, from account manager to senior management.

As a junior buyer, you are responsible for building partnerships with your key suppliers. Together with your team, you run a product category, such as Laptops & Desktops or Audio Products, for example. To achieve this, you are continuously negotiating to secure the best purchasing deals. You handle the contract negotiations and the relationships; your Supply Planner is responsible for operational purchasing and inventory management. You make structural cooperation agreements regarding purchasing with your suppliers. You will become part of a close-knit team with whom you consult daily, parry obstacles, and celebrate successes.  

• Building sustainable relationships with your suppliers. Together, you create short-term and long-term plans. 
• Analyzing sales reports and market data and creating forecasts.  
• Smashing the records of previous campaigns with a new, improved marketing campaign.
• Giving a presentation to an international delegation for the annual contract negotiation.
• A round of high-fives when it turns out that the promotions you have implemented are working very well.

As a junior buyer, you will be personally mentored within a complete team during your first six months to learn all the ins and outs of the profession as quickly as possible. After this period, you may be assigned your own sub-category, possibly in another team.
