What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, commercially minded and attentive to detail, with a strong affinity for visual merchandising and brand presentation. You are comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously, and able to translate priorities into clear, effective and impactful in-store execution.

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Merchandising, Trade Marketing, or Marketing, with strong exposure to campaign management and retail activations
  • Experience in retail, FMCG or luxury
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch, French or Scandinavian languages are a plus
  • Collaborative team player who can work independently and support a team
  • Fulltime available and living in or around Amsterdam

The role

As F&B Merchandiser within CHANEL's Fragrance & Beauty team in Benelux and Scandinavia, you play a central role in bringing our Visual Merchandising strategy to life across both Retail and Wholesale channels. You ensure that campaigns are deployed with excellence, that brand visibility remains strong and consistent, and that all activations support both business priorities and the CHANEL brand image.

This position combines strategic planning with hands-on execution. From campaign planning, forecasting and budget management to activation and performance follow-up, you maintain a clear overview of merchandising priorities across the region. You will also contribute to permanent merchandising initiatives within the Wholesale network, ensuring alignment between campaign activations, long-term visibility objectives and retail transformation projects.

What you'll do

Campaign Management & Activation:

  • Lead the deployment of all Visual Merchandising campaigns across Benelux & Scandinavia Retail and Wholesale channels, covering more than 860 points of sale.
  • Translate European campaign strategies into regional activation plans aligned with business priorities.
  • Manage campaign forecasting, allocation recommendations, deployment planning, and budget follow-up.
  • Monitor campaign performance and execution quality, identifying opportunities to maximize visibility and impact.
  • Act as the key point of contact for campaign-related merchandising topics across the region.

Budget & Investment Management

  • Own campaign merchandising budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure investments are aligned with business priorities and visibility objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize merchandising spending and improve return on investment.

Retailer Partnerships & Commercial Visibility

  • Develop strong partnerships with key retailers and merchandising stakeholders.
  • Participate in discussions and negotiations related to campaign visibility and merchandising investments.
  • Partner with commercial teams to maximize share of space, visibility opportunities, and launch impact.

Permanent Merchandising Support

  • Work in partnership with the Merchandising Project Manager.
  • Contribute to permanent merchandising initiatives across the Wholesale network.
  • Support openings, renovations, relocations, concept evolutions, and visibility enhancement projects.
  • Ensure alignment between campaign activations and long-term merchandising objectives.
  • Support major retail development projects when needed and strategic visibility initiatives.

Brand Image & Merchandising Excellence

  • Ensure consistent application of Visual Merchandising guidelines and brand standards across the region.
  • Maintain merchandising documentation, data bases, concepts, and best practices.
  • Support capability building through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing with field teams and stakeholders.

Sustainability & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives including recycling, asset recovery, and responsible merchandising practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement of merchandising processes, tools, and ways of working.

Merchandising Team Collaboration

  • Operate with a merchandising collaborative team mindset, maintaining a 360° view of merchandising activities across Benelux & Scandinavia.
  • Collaborate closely with the Merchandising Manager and Merchandising Project Manager to support regional priorities and business continuity.
  • Contribute beyond direct ownership areas to support the overall success of the merchandising function.
