This position falls into scale 10 or 11, with a gross monthly salary between € 5,179.72 and € 7,928.30 depending on your knowledge and experience (based on 36 hours per week). Furthermore, we offer:

This position combines in-depth software engineering with social impact. You will develop and manage solutions that help screen millions of transactions daily for sanctions risk, money laundering, and other forms of financial crime. Within ASN Bank, technology plays a crucial role in combating financial crime. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work in a specialized IT team responsible for the development, integration, and optimization of systems for customer screening, transaction monitoring, and sanctions checking. In doing so, you will work with RiskShield, a platform used worldwide for real-time fraud detection, AML compliance, and risk management, transaction screening, sanctions screening, and complex risk analyses using flexible business rules, machine learning, and advanced detection mechanisms. You will ensure that these solutions function optimally and are further developed to meet changing laws and regulations and the growing threat of financial crime. With us, you will work on mission-critical systems in a technically challenging environment with large data volumes and real-time decision-making. • Developing and maintaining Python applications and services within the Financial Crime domain
• Designing, writing, and optimizing complex SQL scripts and database processes
• Integrating RiskShield with internal and external data sources
• Developing new detection rules for transaction screening, sanctions screening, and customer screening
• Improving the performance, availability, and scalability of screening processes
• Managing and optimizing the underlying RiskShield servers and technical infrastructure
• Supporting deployments, releases, and changes within the RiskShield environment
• Collaborating with Compliance, KYC analysts, Product Owners, Architects, and other IT specialists
• Translating new AML, KYC, and sanctions requirements into robust technical solutions
