We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with an affinity for animals and animal care. This includes animal caretakers, veterinary students, veterinary technicians in training, or other candidates who want to gain experience within a specialist emergency clinic.

As an Animal Caretaker / Veterinary Assistant, you will be part of our Emergency Clinic, where you will work together with veterinarians and veterinary technicians in a varied and educational environment. You play a crucial role in the daily care of patients in the inpatient department and outpatient clinic.

• Responsible for the general care of our patients: walking dogs, cleaning kennels, and ensuring proper housing.

• Supporting the veterinary technicians with various tasks, such as restraining patients and performing laboratory work (blood tests).

• Customer contact: You will have regular communication with the owners of the animals.

This position is part of our 24/7 emergency clinic. Therefore, you will work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. It is important that you enjoy being ready to stand with the team specifically during these times.

A car is a plus due to the irregular working hours. There is a good public transport connection to the clinic. During day shifts, we greatly appreciate it when public transport is used. Due to the irregular working hours, the maximum travel distance is 45 minutes one way.
