Traineeship Jr. Trader (Dutch speaking!)

We offer "traineeships" to recent HBO/MBA graduates at Catz International B.V. who want to develop into a

Junior Trader.

As a (jr) Trader, you are responsible for the purchase and sale of our products and maintain

close contacts with our suppliers and customers. After an intensive internal training program, you will get

to work continuing and expanding our successful business.

The job?

One of our fellow Traders writes the following about the work: "Actually, trading at Catz is just

like juggling. You have to make sure you keep as many balls in the air as possible."

Because the product range is quite diverse, the contacts are also diverse.

One moment you are calling a supplier in Manila, the next moment you are in contact with a

customer in Rotterdam.

You must know well when to buy or sell a batch. Weather conditions and

world politics even have an impact on it.

When hurricane season begins, do prices go up? What consequences does a new president of

a country have regarding international trade relations?

A lot to think about and keep an eye on. In short, a very diverse job.

As a junior trader, you start with an intensive induction process where you work with all departments

before you begin your trading activities. A senior trader will help you learn the finer points

of the profession. In time, you will become the expert buying and selling the products of your

specialism worldwide, and you will travel 4 to 5 weeks per year to the areas where the products

are grown.

Who are we looking for?

• HBO graduates with a commercial spirit. You are bursting with energy, you have business knowledge, and you follow the world news closely.

• You have recently obtained your HBO or Master's degree, preferably in Commercial Economics or similar.

• You can calculate like the best and do not stop until you have been able to close the best deal, so a

• 9-5 mentality is unknown to you.

• You enjoy switching between languages, cultures, and environments.

• You are a pleasant professional colleague, a team worker, and also capable of working independently.
