Abbott Weesp is an important site within the Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD), with modern production facilities. In advanced production facilities, qualified employees produce raw materials for medicines such as laxatives, hormones, and the flu vaccine on a daily basis. Currently, we are looking for an:

You will work in the Transport Department within the Supply Chain. The Supply Chain is responsible for the procurement and delivery of products and services at the Weesp site. This concerns raw materials and auxiliary materials used directly for the production of our medicines. The transport department is responsible for all imports and exports and, in that capacity, also works for Basel regarding the shipment of commercial goods.

Location: Weesp, Netherlands. This position requires office presence at least 4 days per week.

The transport department is responsible, among other things, for importing raw materials for the production of medicines and, among other things, exporting finished products worldwide. The Import-Export Officers working in the department organize export and import declarations according to legal regulations. Realizing the organization, planning, documentary guidance, and administrative settlement of (outsourced to third parties) international transport of goods brought by, for, or on behalf of Abbott Healthcare Products BV/ Abbott Biologicals as well as Abbott Products Operations AG for commercial goods. Building and maintaining business relationships and promoting result-oriented cooperation with carriers, internal stakeholders, and other interested parties in the international logistics network.

• Assessing, ensuring, and complementing transport requests.
• Building and maintaining business relationships and promoting result-oriented cooperation with carriers, internal stakeholders, and other interested parties in the (international/European) logistics network.
• Complying with external/government and Abbott regulations.
• You are service-oriented towards your internal customers and provide support when changes in demand or delivery occur along the way.

• You have completed a higher professional education (HBO), e.g., in Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
• You have at least 5 years of experience
• Knowledge/experience in organizing international transport and documentation.
• You are proficient in the English and Dutch languages.
• You are driven in what you do and have a "can-do" mentality.
• Integrity: presents information accurately and completely
• Initiative: Has a strong focus on internal and external customers/stakeholders
• Good communication skills and a team player.
• Pre: IATA training or willingness to follow it.

• Coaching by an internal coach on content, soft skills, and career development.
• Opportunities to follow training from Abbott's Learning & Development program, for example, soft skills or project management training.
