The role
We are looking for Depot Specialists to support the daily operation of autonomous vehicles (AV) and robotaxi fleets in Europe.
As a Depot Specialist, you will ensure that autonomous vehicles are clean, fully charged, inspected, and operationally ready for daily deployment. From a dedicated robotaxi depot, you will support vehicle preparation, fleet readiness, inventory management, and daily depot operations that enable safe and reliable autonomous ride-hailing services.
This role is a fit for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, are highly organized, and function well in fast-paced operational environments. Experience with autonomous vehicles is not required; training is provided.
By joining our team, you will directly contribute to the successful launch, operation, and scaling of robotaxi fleets and autonomous mobility services in multiple European cities.
What you'll do
- Preparing autonomous vehicles for daily robotaxi fleet operations.
- Ensuring each vehicle is cleaned, inspected, charged, and deployment-ready before the shift.
- Checking the cleanliness and condition of cameras, LiDAR, radar, mirrors, sensors, windows, and vehicle interiors to support optimal self-driving system performance.
- Performing pre-deployment and post-shift inspections according to established procedures.
- Monitoring battery levels and charging schedules for electric autonomous vehicles.
- Supporting daily robotaxi depot operations by coordinating vehicle movements, parking, charging, and staging.
- Assisting with vehicle dispatch and return processes.
- Organizing parking zones to maximize operational efficiency.
- Keeping the depot clean and ensuring work areas meet safety standards.
- Coordinating vehicle availability with Safety Operators, Technicians, and Operations Leads.
- Performing basic functionality checks before deployment.
- Checking tires, lighting, fluid levels, charging equipment, and general vehicle condition.
- Identifying cosmetic damage or operational issues that require technical inspection.
- Escalating maintenance concerns to Senior Technicians or SDS Specialists.
- Supporting vehicle recovery and transport activities when necessary.
- Managing stock of cleaning materials, charging accessories, PPE, and operational equipment.
- Tracking inventory usage and reporting replenishment needs.
- Receiving deliveries and organizing storage areas within the depot.
- Supporting logistics for fleet expansion and new depot launches.
- Completing digital inspection checklists and fleet readiness reports.
- Recording vehicle status, charging information, and operational observations.
- Following depot safety procedures and company standards.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that increase fleet availability, reduce downtime, and improve operational efficiency.
Who we are looking for
Successful Depot Specialists maintain high operational standards and understand that vehicle readiness is crucial to the success of autonomous vehicle fleets and commercial robotaxi operations.
You love structured work, have excellent attention to detail, and understand how important it is that every autonomous vehicle leaves the depot clean, charged, safe, and fully prepared for customer service or testing operations.
Experience with robotaxi or autonomous vehicles is not required: we offer full training in depot procedures, vehicle preparation, and fleet operations.
What we offer
- Opportunity to support some of Europe's most advanced robotaxi and autonomous vehicle programs.
- Working with cutting-edge electric and autonomous vehicles.
- Full onboarding and operational training.
- Long-term career in fleet operations, autonomous mobility, and robotaxi deployment.
- Exposure to depot management, fleet readiness, vehicle operations, and commercial autonomous ride-hailing services.
- Collaboration with Safety Operators, Technicians, Engineers, and Fleet Operations teams.
- Opportunity to support new city launches, depot setup, and the expansion of autonomous ride-hailing fleets in Europe.
