The role

Our team consists of ambitious professionals who are not merely adapting to change, but actively driving it. We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Data & Analytics Product Management Analyst who combines strong technical expertise with business understanding and a passion for improving how organizations work with data. Beyond building scalable cloud-based data solutions, you help stakeholders create clarity around business definitions, ownership, data quality, and governance. You take initiative, challenge ambiguity, and contribute to establishing sustainable and reusable data products that support reliable decision-making across TenneT.

Working with cutting-edge technologies such as Azure, Databricks and modern DataOps practices, you will help build the data foundation that enables TenneT to deliver on its purpose: "Connecting everyone with a brighter energy future".

The Senior Data & Analytics Product Management Analyst is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving reliable, scalable, and reusable data products that enable data-driven decision-making across TenneT.

The role goes beyond technical implementation. As a senior professional, you proactively identify opportunities to improve how data is defined, governed, and used across the organization. You bridge business and technology by helping stakeholders establish shared definitions, clear ownership, and sustainable data practices, ensuring that data products remain reliable, reusable, and aligned with business objectives.

You are an experienced Data & Analytics professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong business understanding. You enjoy solving complex data challenges, but you also recognize that sustainable data products require clear ownership, agreed definitions, strong governance, and effective collaboration between business and technology teams. You are naturally curious, proactive, and comfortable challenging situations where requirements, responsibilities, or business logic are unclear.

You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment, but you also look beyond the technical solution. You understand that durable data products require clear definitions, strong ownership, reliable data quality, and a consistent way of working across the organization.

You combine hands-on technical expertise with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You are able to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ask the right questions, bring structure to unclear information needs, and help move the organization from individual requirements towards reusable and well-defined data products.

TenneT offers you the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable energy future. Together with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders, you will work on innovative solutions that enable the energy transition. We provide an environment where you can develop your talents and where your personal growth is a key priority.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performing data pipelines and data products using Azure, Databricks, and related cloud technologies.
  • Build trusted, reusable, and business-critical data assets that support reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making across TenneT.
  • Design and implement analytical models, integration solutions, and ETL/ELT processes following modern data engineering principles and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Data Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
  • Help stakeholders define, refine, and document clear business definitions, ensuring that data products are based on a shared understanding of meaning, ownership, and usage.
  • Challenge stakeholders on data quality, data ownership, consistency, and the reuse of data logic across reports, models, and systems.
  • Identify where business processes, definitions, responsibilities, or decision-making structures around data are unclear, and actively contribute to improving them.
  • Drive data quality, reliability, security, and compliance by implementing monitoring, testing, governance, and observability standards.
  • Contribute to the definition and evolution of TenneT's data architecture, engineering standards, and cloud platform roadmap.
  • Contribute to the migration of legacy data solutions towards cloud-native and future-proof data products.
  • Promote and apply DataOps, DevOps, automation, and CI/CD practices to improve development efficiency and platform reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize platform performance, scalability, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
  • Coach and mentor fellow engineers and actively contribute to knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Act as a technical sparring partner for colleagues and stakeholders and support architectural and design decisions across data initiatives.

Competencies

Ownership & Initiative

  • Takes responsibility for outcomes rather than only assigned tasks.

  • Proactively identifies issues and improvement opportunities.

  • Acts independently and follows through on commitments.

  • Escalates risks in a timely and constructive manner.

Stakeholder Advisory

  • Builds trusted relationships across organizational levels.

  • Challenges assumptions and unclear requirements constructively.

  • Facilitates alignment between stakeholders with diverse interests.

  • Translates complex technical matters into understandable business language.

Data Governance & Quality

  • Promotes clear ownership and accountability for data.

  • Ensures common definitions and consistent use of business terminology.

  • Considers governance, quality, and sustainability in solution design.

  • Identifies structural causes of data quality issues.

Continuous Improvement

  • Questions existing ways of working and proposes improvements.

  • Actively contributes to standards, frameworks, and best practices.

  • Shares knowledge and stimulates learning across teams.

  • Drives simplification and reuse of solutions.

Technical Leadership

  • Makes sound technical decisions balancing short-term and long-term objectives.

  • Guides colleagues in engineering approaches and design decisions.

  • Contributes to architecture and platform evolution.

  • Ensures high-quality engineering practices are applied consistently.

As a Senior Data & Analytics Product Management Analyst within TenneT's Data & Analytics department, you play a leading role in designing, building, and evolving scalable cloud-based data solutions. You translate complex business requirements into sustainable data products and analytical models, while also helping the organization improve how business definitions, data quality, ownership, and reusable data products are established and maintained.

You combine strong technical expertise with business understanding, data governance awareness, and a proactive mindset. You act as a trusted advisor for both business and technology stakeholders, and you are comfortable challenging unclear requirements, inconsistent definitions, and fragmented ways of working.
