(Senior) Manager Defense, Security & Space

• A HBO or WO degree.
• 8–10 years of experience in the public domain.
• Proven experience with the delivery of projects or programs at Defense, J&V, Police, or similar organizations.
• Experience as an advisor, project manager, program manager, or change manager.
• 3–5 years of experience with commercial responsibility within a substantive role.
• A network within organizations such as: National Police, DJI, CJIB, OM, NFI, FIU, Defense (DICTU/IV organizations), or similar chain partners.
• Experience with project and contract management.
• You know or understand laws and regulations such as BIO2, ENSIA, NIS2, and the security requirements associated with this chain.
• Knowledge of defense, security, and/or aerospace standards and relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, BIO, NIS2 context, STANAG/ECSS in broad outlines)
• Certifications such as PRINCE2, IPMA, and preferably PROSCI.
• You speak and write good Dutch.

• Experience with NATO, NSPA, OCCAR, ESA, and/or EUSPA trajectories
• Experience with secure IT environments or confidential data chain projects.
• Knowledge of data, AI, cybersecurity, or chain management within security domains.
• Experience in multi‑vendor, international, or highly secure environments.
• Familiarity with national security requirements, clearance processes, and collaboration with ministries and agencies.

• A permanent contract and a gross monthly salary between € 5,000,- and € 7,500,- based on full-time employment (40 hours per week);

What will you do?
You will work on assignments within Defense, Justice & Security, and the National Police. You will guide digital transformation in environments with strict supervision, high security requirements, and chains where errors can have major consequences.

You can fulfill various roles in this: advisor, project manager, program manager, or change manager.

Your main tasks:

• You ensure the good delivery of projects and programs.
• You maintain oversight of planning, quality, risks, and agreements.
• You work within frameworks such as BIO, BIO2, ENSIA, GIBIT/ARBIT, and NIS2.
• You manage contracts and suppliers in multi‑vendor environments.
• You build sustainable relationships and act as a trusted advisor for boards, staffs, and CIO organizations.
• You contribute to tenders, quotes, and winning assignments.
• You create solutions that align with the needs of the client and the security chain.
• You help our Public team grow, both in content and as a community.

The commercial part is included, but the core remains: content, collaboration, and results.
