What you'll get

You will receive a full-time job of 40 hours per week, in which you will have a lot of freedom and independence. Not a whole day in the office, but happily on the road and in contact with various customers.

In addition, we offer you:

A salary between € 2,600 and € 2,750 gross per month, depending on your experience, based on full-time employment of 40 hours;
SGS delivery van that you take home with you;
25 vacation days and 7 ATV days;

The role

As a courier at SGS, you will naturally spend a lot of time behind the wheel, but you do more than just drive.

You collect samples from various customers, such as water and soil samples. You load these into the delivery van, and at the end of your route, you bring everything to our laboratory in Hoogvliet.

Your working day starts a bit later than an average job. Usually, you start between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Around 7:00 PM/8:00 PM, you deliver the samples in Hoogvliet. On busy days, this can extend until approximately 10:00 PM. After that, you drive the delivery van home.

Additionally, you may be deployed to transport documents or other urgent deliveries between customers and various SGS locations in the Netherlands.

In short: lots of time on the road, lots of independence, and no two days are exactly the same.

Functie-eisen

Experience as a courier is a plus, but certainly not a requirement. Perhaps you already have experience on the road, have just finished school, or are looking for something completely different. We will simply teach you the tasks in practice.

Above all, we find it important that you:

enjoy working independently and take responsibility;
are a reliable and safe driver;
live in the Rotterdam region;
interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner;
have a practical mindset and enjoy rolling up your sleeves;
are physically fit, because you regularly lift samples that can weigh up to approximately 20 kg;
are flexible with your working hours, because a route can sometimes take a bit longer.

Do you already have a VCA certificate and/or ADR Awareness certificate? Then that is a plus.
