Your day at NTT DATA

The storage engineer, specialist or architect supports enterprise storage, data-protection and related infrastructure services. The role ensures that platforms remain available, resilient, secure and capable of meeting workload performance and capacity requirements.

Key responsibilities

Monitor capacity, availability, utilisation and performance.
Resolve incidents affecting storage access, replication, performance and data protection.
Provision and configure storage according to approved standards.
Perform platform maintenance, patching, upgrades and lifecycle activities.
Support SAN, NAS, block, file and object-storage services.
Maintain replication, backup and disaster-recovery capabilities.
Analyse performance bottlenecks and capacity trends.
Work with server, virtualisation, network, database and cloud teams.
Maintain configuration records, diagrams and recovery procedures.
Automate provisioning, monitoring and reporting where appropriate.
At L4, lead resolution of complex storage and data-recovery incidents.
At L5, define storage architecture, data-placement strategies and technology roadmaps.
