The role
As a Product Deployment Engineer Intern in gTech Ads, you will gain hands-on exposure to how Google bridges customer business goals with cutting-edge advertising technologies. Product Deployment Engineers serve as the in-market technical and product authority across core solution areas (such as Search+, YouTube+, or Measurement & Platforms).
During your internship, you will work alongside experienced PDEs to get a first-hand look at end-to-end technical deployments-from learning how to evaluate client technical maturity and map MarTech architectures, to assisting with product activation, technical scoping, lightweight scripting, and last-mile solution delivery.
What you'll do
- Shadow and assist PDEs during technical assessments to understand client technical architectures, advertising stacks, and first-party data strategies.
- Assist in building lightweight prototypes, proof-of-concepts, scripts (e.g., Python, JavaScript), or SQL queries to validate integration feasibility and automate deployment steps.
- Learn how technical requirements are translated into Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and collaborate with engineering hubs (Ads Solutions Engineers) and Engagement Managers (EMs).
- Document technical workflows, capture best practices, and contribute to reusable deployment guides and blueprints.
- Map customer data flows and MarTech touchpoints to identify privacy-safe integration opportunities and support the delivery of Customer Growth Packages (CGPs).
How you'll work
Note: By applying to this position you will have an opportunity to share your preferred working location from the following: Hamburg, Germany; Madrid, Spain; Amsterdam, Netherlands.
