The following skills/knowledge are essential:
Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Strong knowledge of textile production processes
Technical and demonstrated understanding of how to conduct a fast-track LCA, impact measurement and data analysis
A good understanding of the supply chain & the fashion industry
Strong Google Workspace management and presentation skills
Capacity to adapt to different settings and to work in a demanding and multicultural environment
A pro-active, enthusiastic, can-do attitude and comfortable dealing with uncertainty.
Creative thinker with the ability for sound judgment and accountability
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The following experience is a plus: relevant work Chemistry or Material Sciences.
Academic degree preferably in Textile Engineering, Innovation Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering (a focus on textiles or apparel is a plus).

We are looking for a driven and motivated Intern to join our team in Amsterdam.
Fashion for Good seeks an Innovation Intern who will be responsible for supporting the processing and impact team on technical evaluations of innovative technologies (chemistry, machinery and impact) and operational tasks. The Intern will also assist in conducting fast-track Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) on innovative technologies and benchmarking these against existing solutions.
Key responsibilities of the Intern include the following:
- Scout, map and update the landscape of innovators, established and incumbents to further strengthen our scouting database in the different focus areas.
- Execute in depth due diligence with a focus on the scientific and technical feasibility of the innovation.
- Conduct fast-track LCAs on selected innovations and processes, benchmarking against conventional solutions.
- Assist the team in the creation of roadmaps to scale up innovations within the FFG platform (i.e. technical feasibility, lifecycle assessment, financial analysis, etc.)
- Assist in general Innovation Platform activities (including operations and day to day business activities)
- Provide analytical support to ongoing projects specifically relating to impact assessments and chemical analysis
- Write reports describing findings and recommendations for follow up actions
- Document all associated interactions between innovators, FFG's partners (brands, retailers and manufacturers), investors/financiers, and NGOs in relevant tools (i.e. airtable, landscape reports, etc.)
