The role

description

At EY, we're all in to shape your future with confidence.

We'll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go.

Join EY and help to build a better working world.

Certain of your impact today. Free to build tomorrow.
At EY, you can be certain that you are making a difference: for your client, society, your colleagues, and your own development. At the same time, you get the freedom to work in a way that fits your life. Whether you choose specialization, broadening your horizons, or leadership: you are in control. Together with ambitious colleagues in an open and trusting culture, you strive for the highest possible results every day. Big on possibilities, friendly in collaboration. EY provides the resources you need to further shape your career and make an impact within your field.

About your main responsibilities

Are you ready for a dynamic role within People Advisory Services (PAS) Local Mobility, where you will apply your tax and social security knowledge for (inter)national clients? As a consultant, you will work in an enthusiastic and diverse team specializing in a wide range of payroll tax issues. You will get plenty of opportunities to develop your professional expertise in a practice where practical learning is central. You will actively participate in client meetings and consultations with the Tax Authorities, giving you direct impact. Furthermore, you will work with cutting-edge tooling and AI to optimize processes and identify opportunities. No two days are the same: you advise large multinationals, government institutions, and financial sector organizations on various topics and play a crucial role in complex M&A processes.

What will you do?

Your activities are divided into three important pillars:

  1. Regular payroll tax advice and social security
You advise on all tax aspects surrounding the working population: from checking employment contracts and dismissal advice to assessing share plans and the flexible benefits scheme (WKR). You also advise on the DBA Act and support payroll audits. You maintain fixed client relationships and provide presentations and courses to keep them up to date.
  2. M&A Due Diligence
Together with the ITTS team, you are responsible for the payroll tax aspects within mergers and acquisitions. This is an important and challenging part of your work, in which you collaborate closely with various stakeholders to identify and manage risks. You contribute to the success of complex transactions by applying your specialist knowledge.
  3. Support for annual account audits and the Senior Executive Pay Act (WNT)
You work closely with the audit team to check payroll tax components of the annual accounts. In this role, you investigate, among other things, whether organizations comply with the Senior Executive Pay Act and conduct discussions with finance departments to identify potential risks. Additionally, you review payslips and perform cost investigations.

Shaping your future together with us? | About your application process

  1. For this vacancy, we would like to receive only your CV. This makes it easy for you to apply quickly.
  2. Our first contact: after your application, our recruiter will call you within 7 days for a brief introduction. We will briefly explore together whether the position would suit you.
  3. The first interview: we ask you to complete an online assessment beforehand. Not a standard questionnaire, but a game-based one that looks at both your cognitive skills and your behavioral preferences. During the interview, we will discuss the results together, and a colleague from the relevant department will also be present. During this mutual introduction, we would love to get to know you, and you will have the opportunity to ask your questions as well.
  4. The second interview: If we see a match after the first interview and you are still enthusiastic, a second introduction will follow. In this interview, we will go deeper into the position and other relevant themes, and sometimes a business case is also part of the procedure. It may be that a final interview takes place.
  5. We are a match. You will receive an offer from us and we will conduct a pre-employment screening. After that, your new challenge begins. Welcome to EY!
