What we're looking for

At least 8 years of work experience in a comparable financial controlling function.
Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
At least 3 to 5 years of experience with month-end closings.
Relevant experience with financial reporting.
Experience with balance sheet and P&L analyses.

What you'll do

For a temporary assignment, we are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Controller who is responsible for the financial month-end closing of a product portfolio within the business market. Due to temporary capacity challenges within the team, there is a need for a professional who ensures continuity and makes sure that month-end closings are carried out correctly, completely, and in a timely manner. You will work within a finance team, but will have your own area of focus and responsibility. In addition to providing reports and analyses, you will make an important contribution to the year-end closing and actively contribute to process improvements within finance and reporting.

Explaining margins, revenue, costs, and volumes based on underlying data.
Monitoring the quality, completeness, and timeliness of financial information.
Translating financial issues into analyses, reports, and requirements.
Identifying and analyzing deviations and ambiguities during month-end closings and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Contributing to the preparation and execution of the year-end closing.
Identifying improvement and automation opportunities within finance and reporting processes and helping to realize them.
Supporting stakeholders with financial analyses and insights.
Processing and controlling financial mutations within SAP.
