Image Editor with a sharp eye for Visie

At Visie, we work online first. Stories are told online first and form the basis for the magazine from there. As an image editor, you ensure that imagery is part of the story from the very beginning. You devise creative visual concepts and know which image makes a story stronger, both online and in the magazine.

As an image editor at Visie:

• You devise your visual concepts in the fields of photography and illustration
• You translate stories into strong and appropriate imagery for online and the magazine
• You brief photographers, illustrators, and other visual creators and guide them where necessary
• You think along about how imagery can best be showcased on different channels
• You safeguard the quality and recognizability of Visie's imagery
• You plan and organize image productions and ensure that deadlines are met
• You work closely with editors and other colleagues within Visie
• You take on production tasks where necessary

You are a creative visual thinker who quickly sees what a story needs. You have an eye for detail, think in terms of possibilities, and know how to touch the right atmosphere and message with imagery. In addition, you combine creativity with oversight and organizational talent.
