Hey, we're Basic-Fit. Or, if you ask our DevOps community (45 tech-savvy souls), Basic-IT. But don't worry, that 'basic' prefix doesn't refer to our jobs;-) Given our size, growth rate, and drive to boldly go where no fitness organization has gone before, each day comes with a fresh set of challenges and victories. That is true across the development board, but (we hope colleagues in other teams don't read this the next bit) even more so in the app domain. After all, we serve a lot of great content on everyone's personally preferred devices to engage our 2.4 million members. With a UX cherry on top. THIS IS WHAT YOUR ASSIGNMENT LOOKS LIKE

As our React Native Developer, you'll join the squad that's in charge of our hugely popular Basic-Fit apps - and hopes to add a whole bunch of new ones soon. That is IF you can help us realize them. While each app inspires members to get or stay fit, the use cases vary, as do the technical and UX/UI details. You could work on an app to coach members through their spinning workout in the 'comfort' of their own living room, or co-create smart mirrors that provide (literally) actionable feedback in real-time. We have a lot of great user stories ready and waiting for developers to run with, including socially-focused apps, such as buddy and ranking platforms.

Together with 14 fellow developers, you claim end-to-end ownership over the entirety of our App code. Both for Android and iOS. And with an octuple focus on quality because we embrace the full spectrum of ISO25010 '-ilities'. If you think you can get away with quick & (especially) dirty code here, you don't appreciate just how fast and VERY FIT our audience of 2.4 million members really is. Of note: our ecosystem is large, complex, and intricately interwoven, so we prefer to build modularly and leverage existing building blocks, and we always take integrations with marketing automation tools into account. THIS IS WHERE YOU'LL WORK

Your home base is our Tilburg Plan-T office, a buzzing tech hub where the PC master race rules supreme. Here you'll join a community of tech-savvy compatriots: full-stackers, back-enders, mobile developers, delivery leads, and more. We think sharing is caring, and while giving back to the community may sound sappy, we mean it: we team up with academics, organize events, and are a proud member of Tailors.nl, a growth accelerator program that organizes tons of fun stuff, like the Tailors Den where you get to see other companies' innovative prowess. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 3+ years of 'hardcore' app building experience: if REACT is tattooed on your biceps and NATIVE adorns your triceps, you might be the right (wo)man for the job
• The React library is your fitness club of choice, where your favorite exercise machines include TypeScript, Firebase, GIT, REST, and Swagger. Your third favorite fitness location is our Fussball table;-)
• You live and breathe clean, high-quality code: you don't aim for benchmarks; you set them
• You challenge ideas when a challenge is due and welcome any and all feedback yourself
• You communicate like an end boss (no spit and/or fireballs, please) and are always on the lookout for ways to elevate your solutions and team members
• English is our go-to language (internationals R us), but if you know what bitter balls are and don't giggle when we stick little flags in them, that would be awesome
• You want to team up with a corporate that has a start-up mentality #no-red-tape
