We, Diergeneeskundig Centrum Hopmans in Roden and Hoogkerk, are looking for an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn veterinary nurse.
As a veterinary nurse at Diergeneeskundig Centrum Hopmans, you have broad possibilities regarding your duties. We find it important that our colleagues can primarily do the work that gives them energy and that they are good at.
On one hand, you might think of a position primarily involving customer contact. In that case, you will be deployed for, among other things, telephone and reception duties, and you will be the direct link between the veterinarian and the customer, supporting veterinarians during consultations, and ensuring a warm welcome for all customers and their animals. Do you instead have an affinity for OR duties or animal care? You can certainly come to us for that too. This will involve being responsible for the preparation of animals, assisting during surgeries, and ensuring that the room and resources are clean again for the next OR. Every day, a veterinary nurse is responsible for intensive care patients and recovery patients at our clinic, so this can also be part of your duties.
Independent of your preference and the possibilities within the practice, you will receive a challenging and varied position supported by a warm team.
Assisting customers on the phone and at the reception desk and giving them a warm welcome within the practice.
Preparing and maintaining the practice space for business.
Unpacking orders.
Holding animals during, for example, an ultrasound.
Assisting the veterinarian during surgeries and consultations (including blood sampling, taking X-rays, holding animals, endoscopies, ultrasonography);
Receiving, advising, and guiding owners and their animals.
Aftercare of animals after surgeries or during day admissions.
A truly friendly and warm team in which the atmosphere and colleagues are rated with an average of 8.5, thanks to, among other things, mutual involvement, helpfulness, cooperation, and conviviality.
Ample opportunities for career growth and room for personal development.
In addition to room for veterinarian specializations, there is also room for the specialization of veterinary nurses.
High-quality veterinary care in a well-equipped practice with modern equipment for diagnosis and treatments.
An independent position with many responsibilities.
Excellent employment conditions, in accordance with the AniCura employment package.
A varied and challenging position for 24-36 hours per week.
Customer- and animal-friendly.
Friendly and involved.
Experienced and professional.
Flexible and collegial in a dynamic working environment.
In possession of a Veterinary Nurse diploma and preferably some experience.
We would love to talk to you! Respond to this vacancy using the button below.

We look forward to meeting you!
In our clinic, we work with a varied and friendly team of 14 veterinarians, 32 veterinary nurses, 2 animal physiotherapists, 1 HR manager, and 2 practice managers. Together, we provide the best veterinary care in the Northern Netherlands and find sincere customer involvement important. We continuously strive to be the clinic where you, as a customer, want to be helped with your pet, and the clinic where you, as an employee, want to work. Therefore, we find it important that you can continue to develop, both personally and professionally.
We offer both primary and secondary veterinary care. Each of our veterinarians has their own area of focus, so that every field is represented. Think, for example, of orthopedics, dermatology, internal medicine, surgery, and cardiology. We have extensive possibilities for additional diagnostics and invest heavily in the professional development of our team. In addition, we always strive for the correct diagnosis before a treatment is initiated.
