description

Varied work, responsibility, and a team where you will quickly feel at home

Are you an enthusiastic veterinary nurse who enjoys varied work, takes responsibility, and wants to develop further? Do you enjoy working with both animals and their owners as well as with veterinarians and colleagues? Then we have a wonderful place for you.

For AniCura Dierenartsencombinatie ZuidOost, we are looking for a dedicated veterinary nurse to join our team.

Why work at AniCura ZuidOost?

AniCura ZuidOost consists of six locations in Helmond, Deurne, Gemert, and Beek en Donk. Since 2022, the clinics have been part of AniCura, but the trusted teams and personal way of working have remained.

What you will notice immediately with us is the friendly and homely atmosphere. Hospitality is a top priority for us. We believe it is important that every owner and every animal feels welcome and at ease from the very first contact. We find that same warm approach important for colleagues. New colleagues are quickly welcomed into the team, we eat lunch together whenever possible, and we truly take time for each other during breaks. Furthermore, every day we start together with the entire team, including both veterinarians and veterinary nurses.

We value openness and honesty. When you come to shadow us, we will ensure you feel immediately welcome. You will be given all the space to get to know the team, ask questions, and discover if our way of working suits you. We are happy to tell you the honest story.

Within our locations, veterinarians and veterinary nurses work closely together, and a wealth of knowledge and expertise is available. In addition to regular veterinary medicine, we have expertise in areas such as orthopedics, dermatology, laparoscopic sterilization, and reptile care. We also have facilities for blood testing, ultrasound, and X-ray examinations. At the locations in Gemert, Helmond-Brouwhuis, and Helmond-Stiphout, most facilities for larger treatments and surgeries are available.

This is what you will do

As a veterinary nurse, you will have a broad and varied range of tasks. You are an important link within the clinic and work closely with the veterinarians and your colleagues.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Assisting during consultation hours, surgeries, and other treatments.

  • Welcoming, advising, and guiding owners and their animals.

  • Reception and telephone duties.

  • Caring for and supervising hospitalized animals.

  • Performing laboratory work.

  • Supporting tasks in the pharmacy.

  • Preparing and maintaining the practice rooms.

  • Administrative and organizational tasks.

Do you have an affinity for the OR and surgery? Then there is plenty to do here and room for you to develop further in this area. You will assist with surgeries and can further expand your knowledge and skills in this field.

Due to the combination of patient care, hospitality, and surgical and practice support, no two days are the same.

Room for your development

We like to look at your interests, qualities, and ambitions. Do you want to deepen your knowledge in, for example, anesthesia, surgery, or another part of the profession? Then we will look at the possibilities together.

A wealth of knowledge and experience is available within our various locations. Additionally, as part of AniCura, you have access to a large network of colleagues and clinics. This gives you the space to take responsibility, learn new things, and further develop yourself.

This is what you bring

We are looking for a veterinary nurse who is happy to roll up their sleeves and finds joy in working with both animals and people.

Additionally:

  • You are a qualified veterinary nurse.

  • You have a welcoming and customer-oriented attitude.

  • Do you communicate clearly and pleasantly?

  • Can you handle different situations well and do you keep a cool head when it is busy?

  • You enjoy working together, but can also take responsibility independently.

  • You are collegial, flexible, and committed.

  • You enjoy continuing to develop yourself.

  • You have your own transport.

Experience is a plus, but certainly not the most important thing. We are primarily looking at who you are, what you bring to the table, and where you want to grow.

This is what we offer you

You will join a close-knit and committed team where you will quickly feel at home. We work together, help each other, and believe it is important that, alongside hard work, there is also room for fun and personal contact.

In addition, we offer you:

  • A varied position within a professional veterinary clinic.

  • An independent role with responsibility.

  • Room to further develop your own interests and ambitions.

  • Opportunities for growth and training.

  • Collaboration with colleagues across multiple locations.

  • A wide range of veterinary care.

  • Modern and well-equipped clinics.

  • Excellent employment conditions in accordance with the AniCura employment package.

Will you be our new colleague?

Do you want to work in a warm, professional environment where hospitality, development, and collaboration are central? And does it appeal to you to become part of a team where you will quickly feel at home?

Then we would love to meet you. Apply via the application button.

Do you have any questions about the position first, or would you like to know more about working at AniCura ZuidOost? Please feel free to contact us.
