Additionally, you are responsible for, among other things:

• Completed HBO/WO (Higher Professional/University) education in a relevant technical domain.
• Demonstrable experience in the functional management of a technical team on complex multidisciplinary projects in the energy, infrastructure, or similar sector.

• You master the Dutch and English languages at a professional level.

• A contract for 32-40 hours per week with a probationary period of two months.
• Salary in scale 9: €4816.00 - €9472.00 gross per month, with 8% holiday allowance and 6% year-end bonus (in accordance with CAO TSO).
• A solid pension via ABP, in which we pay no less than 70% of your pension premium.
• 43 vacation days per year.

As a Technical Manager , you are responsible for the substantive design, testing, and optimization of complex technical solutions that contribute to a safe, reliable, and future-proof high-voltage grid. You will work primarily on the construction of new high-voltage substations or connections at voltage levels of 380 kV, 220 kV, 150 kV, or 110 kV.

You are part of the core team in the project. Together with specialized engineers and/or engineering firms, you draw up basic designs and requirement specifications, and you coordinate and plan the execution of the engineering activities for your projects. You also work together with our contractors and check the quality of delivered products.

• Technical expertise & quality assurance: You are responsible for the total technical design. In consultation with specialized engineers, you assess designs, specifications, calculations, analyses, and documentation, and test these against laws and regulations, standards, and internal guidelines.
• Directing technical choices: You analyze complex technical issues, oversee consequences, and make well-founded decisions.
• Directing colleagues and external parties: On your projects, you direct engineers and act as the point of contact for technical issues on your projects. You provide functional direction to external engineering parties.
• Result management & progress monitoring: You stimulate a sense of urgency within the team to achieve goals and meet deadlines. In doing so, you motivate the team to achieve consistent successes.
• Stakeholder management: You maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, advise based on content, and know how to weigh interests effectively. In doing so, you move smoothly within complex project and organizational dynamics.

Hybrid working is the norm for us. You will be given the opportunity to work from home. We also value meeting each other personally at the office. For this, your base location is Hoogeveen, where you will meet on average 2 times per week. You will also occasionally work from our head office or project locations. Therefore, your workplace may vary.
