Innovation Management Consultant Defence and Security

• Background or demonstrable interest in Defence, security, national or societal resilience. 
• Experience with or affinity with innovation projects. Think of innovation management, process design, IP management, concept or product development. Experience in applied science is a plus. 
• Fluent in structuring complex issues and translating them into action.

PA Consulting is building a specialized sector team in the Netherlands with a focus on Defence and Security. We are looking for consultants who want to be part of a growth trajectory and want to contribute to the development and execution of complex initiatives within the defence sector and related industries.

We combine experience from (inter)national defence programs with local knowledge and work at the intersection of strategy, technology and execution – from analysis to realization.

As an innovation management consultant defence and security you will work on complex, strategic issues for public, semi-public and private organizations. You combine sharp analyses with creativity and know how to turn insights into concrete concepts, processes and applications.

What will you do?

In this role you will fulfill various roles, depending on the project and your experience level: 

• You work as an analyst, work package leader or project manager in multidisciplinary teams. You work intensively with colleagues in the United Kingdom and Scandinavia. 
• You work on the analysis of needs, conduct market research, hold conversations with customers and experts, collect and analyze information and help in forming concrete advice. You are motivated to subsequently implement the advice together with the customer in practice. 
• You act as a sparring partner for customers and stakeholders within defence and security based on strong relationships with people within the government, research institutions and the business community. 
• You contribute to the growth of our team and stay informed about market and technological developments. You share valuable insights with your team. 
• You receive coaching from experienced colleagues and play a role yourself in the development of younger team members by sharing your knowledge and experience. 
• You support the preparation of project proposals and identify new opportunities in the market with the team.
