The role

Do you want to work at the intersection of business and technology at the start of your career? And does it interest you to help organizations with large digital transformations using SAP?

As an SAP Consultant at KPMG Technology, you will become part of our SAP team and work together with experienced consultants on national and international transformation projects. Within KPMG, we use SAP solutions to support organizations in digital transformation and improving their business processes.

You do not need to be an SAP expert yet. We are primarily looking for starters who are curious about how organizations work, have an affinity for technology, and want to develop into an SAP consultant. Through training, certifications, coaching, and especially project experience, you will develop both your SAP knowledge and your consultancy skills. This emphasis on training, certification, and learning on the job aligns with how the current KPMG Consultant vacancy is structured.

What you'll do

As an SAP Consultant, you help organizations improve and digitize their business processes. You work in multidisciplinary teams and learn how to translate a client's needs into practical solutions within SAP.

Depending on your interests and the projects you work on, you can develop yourself within different areas of SAP, for example Finance, Supply Chain Management, Sales & Distribution, Data & Analytics or SAP Technology & Architecture. The current SAP practice recruits and works across multiple of these domains, with SAP S/4HANA being central to many of the transformations.

From your very first projects, you will work together with experienced KPMG colleagues and clients. You will learn step by step how an SAP transformation works, from understanding and analyzing business processes to designing, testing, and implementing solutions.

As an SAP Consultant, you will be involved in, among other things:

  • Analyzing business processes and thinking along about how these can be designed more smartly and efficiently.
  • Translating business needs into functional or technological SAP solutions.
  • Supporting SAP S/4HANA transformations and implementations.
  • Participating in workshops and discussions with clients and various stakeholders.
  • Supporting the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of SAP solutions.
  • Collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines, such as Finance, Supply Chain, Data, Technology, and Change.
  • Getting acquainted with methodologies and technologies used within SAP transformations, including SAP Best Practices, fit-to-standard, and KPMG Powered Enterprise. The current KPMG SAP vacancies use Powered Enterprise and the six-layer Target Operating Model as part of the transformation approach.
  • Discovering how new technologies, including AI, analytics, and SAP BTP, can contribute to business transformations.
  • Continuously developing your SAP, consultancy, and communication skills through training, certifications, coaching, and practical experience.

Of course, you do not need to be able to do all of this independently from day one. You will work together with experienced colleagues who will guide you in your development. As you gain more experience, you will receive increasing responsibility within projects.

Functie-eisen

We are primarily looking for your potential, curiosity, and motivation to become an SAP consultant.

You have:

  • A completed university master's degree, for example in Business Administration, (Business) Information Management, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Econometrics, Engineering, Data, IT, or a similar field.
  • Interest in the combination of business, processes, and technology.
  • Strong analytical skills and an enjoyment of delving into complex issues.
  • Affinity with digital transformation and new technology.
  • Good communication skills and an enjoyment of collaborating with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive, curious, and eager-to-learn attitude.
  • The ambition to further develop yourself both substantively and as a consultant.
  • Interest in SAP S/4HANA and the motivation to build up relevant SAP knowledge and certifications.
  • Interest in developments such as AI and the motivation to discover how you can practically apply this technology in your work.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to work at client sites and within national or international teams, depending on the project.

Previous SAP experience is not required. Experience with SAP, for example through an internship, thesis, university project, or student consultancy, is of course a plus.
