Senior Validation Engineer

This Senior Validation Engineer role focuses on the validation and characterisation of advanced semiconductor products. The Senior Validation Engineer will develop test strategies, analyse silicon performance and support product development activities. The Senior Validation Engineer will work closely with design, product and test engineering teams.
Responsibilities

Develop and execute validation plans for new silicon devices
Perform laboratory-based electrical and functional testing
Support silicon bring-up and debugging activities
Analyse test data and identify the root cause of issues
Develop automated test and measurement solutions
Work closely with design, product and applications teams
Document validation results and provide clear technical feedback
Contribute to the continuous improvement of validation methodologies

Requirements

Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics or a related discipline
Experience in semiconductor validation, characterisation or product engineering
Strong understanding of analogue and mixed-signal electronics
Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and spectrum analysers
Ability to analyse complex technical data and troubleshoot issues
Experience with scripting or automation tools
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable

Experience with timing, clocking or high-speed semiconductor products
Knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages
Familiarity with silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation
Experience working within multidisciplinary semiconductor development teams
