• Experience in a private equity environment; experience in retail is a plus.
• A senior attitude regarding structuring priorities, deadlines, and objectives within the team.
• Result-oriented and strongly analytical.
• Excellent and professional internal and external communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Knowledge of SAP and consolidation tools (Onestream) is a plus.
• Excellent command of the English language (oral and written).
Area 1: Internal reporting
• Preparing, analyzing, and explaining periodic (monthly and annual) internal reports.
• Preparing, analyzing, and explaining budget figures.
• Preparing periodic (monthly, annual, and budget) reports for
investors.
• Preparing, analyzing, and explaining online results.
• Preparing analyses of labor costs and planning of store hours.
• Preparing and analyzing KPI reports.
• Assessing investment proposals and advising on feasibility.
Area 2: External reporting
• Preparing the statutory annual accounts and coordinating corporate tax
returns (and coordinating the process with the external
tax advisor).
• Responsible for an adequate, timely, and complete submission of the
annual accounts, corporate tax return, and other legally required
reports and filings.
• Following up on tax advice regarding capital structure and
provisions, etc.
Area 3: Advisory
• Identifying opportunities for profit improvement and advising on them.
• Identifying opportunities/risks in the tax position (for example, transfer pricing) and advising on them.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes within the organization and advising on them.
• Proactively challenging the Retail Director, HR Managers, Head of Controlling, and other managers on economic and organizational matters.
Area 4: Projects
• Managing and working on projects to improve internal information systems, reporting, and internal procedures.
• Contributing to other financial processes.
